Cursor Plans & The X Subscription

The X Subscription brings Grok, Grok Bot, Cursor, and X Premium together in one plan — a single AI subscription covering the full path from thinking and creating to building and sharing. Existing Cursor plans keep working; switching is entirely optional.

One subscription — what's included?

Grok

Chat, voice, and image and video generation.

Grok Bot

AI teammates that get work done (included on Premium and above).

Cursor

Leading local and cloud coding agents.

X

A checkmark, creator tools, and fewer ads — higher tiers remove timeline ads entirely.

Legacy Cursor plans — how they map

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to switch to The X Subscription?

No. Switching is entirely optional: your existing (legacy) Cursor plan keeps its price and features until you change or cancel it. You can still move between legacy plans, for example from Pro to Pro+.

What happens when I switch?

Your Cursor subscription is cancelled with a prorated refund for unused time (refunded to your original payment method; the new plan is charged at full price and starts immediately). Note: switching is permanent — you can't return to a legacy plan.

What changes for coding usage?

Each X Subscription tier includes at least twice as much coding usage with Grok models as the comparable Cursor plan, and every new tier offers more usage per dollar than the plan it replaces. The pool refreshes weekly, so one heavy day doesn't use up your month.

Can I still use third-party models (Claude, GPT, …)?

Yes. On Premium and above you can keep using third-party models in Cursor, billed separately at API list prices from prepaid credit (with spending caps). Third-party usage draws from credits starting with the first use and never counts against the shared pool. On a legacy plan, your included third-party usage continues until you switch.

What about Teams and Enterprise?

Teams pick per-seat tiers — Premium ($30), Super ($100), Ultra ($200) — at the same prices as individual plans: cheaper per seat than the old Cursor Teams plans with roughly 3× the coding usage, and seat tiers can be mixed in one team. Includes SSO, admin controls, consolidated billing, usage analytics, and SOC 2. Enterprise manages Grok and Cursor from one dashboard with a single shared usage pool.

Anything to watch out for with Apple App Store billing?

Switching doesn't cancel a Cursor subscription billed through the App Store, and it can't be refunded by the vendor. Cancel it in your iPhone/iPad Settings so Apple stops billing you, and request any refund from Apple.
